I lost my TB side gasket that slips over the end of the maf. Anyone know where to buy one?
On mine, I just have the TB,the rubber bellows/boot piece, then the MAF. (and the hose clamps holding it on). ....did you lose that whole rubber piece?

Same here, no gasket. Had me scratching my head Originally Posted by Abubaca

Thanks for the response. I'm sure there used to be a o ring that slotted over the tb side lip of the maf. Then the duct/ hose/ bellows goes over that side of the maf and it snugs up against the o ring. Am I just making no sense?

Your making sense and I understand...but mine from new in 88 GTA never had an o-ring there. The bellows slipped on the TB and tightened, the other end slipped on the MAF and tightened
Yeah, I bought mine with 50k miles, but as far as I know, there's the TB, the hose, the MAF, and then whatever airbox you had, chevy or pontiac. ....then of course special hose clamps....but I never had any other o-ring or gasket.
Hey guys, found one. Here is what I mean though mine was black-

TTOP!After all the research I've done on TPI for my conversion, I've never seen that seal before. I learned something new today. Have your tried "TPIparts.net".
Hey Fred- I actually bought the eBay one

No kidding. Never seen that before. Hmmm.

Its because the maf in those applications went into a "hard plastic", not a rubber bellow and needed a little seal when clamped.

Actually that's not right. On the Camaro's, the MAF went into bellows, it still needs the gasket/ o ringOriginally Posted by TTOP350

Bellow on motor side but MAF was hard mounted into the plastic Y duct with a "tamper proof" clamp, which is where it needs the 0 ring.Originally Posted by ZZ42Fast

See I think it needs the O ring on the other side
It would make sense that the O ring would go on the plastic to plastic side, which is to say the FRONT side of the MAF where it goes into the plastic "Y" airbox. ...that being said, mine does not have it, and hasn't for years and years and years.

Why would you need a rubber O ring when you are using a large rubber connector? Originally Posted by ZZ42Fast
