Code 33 questions.
I have a 87 iroc and been having a few issues.
1. the car sems to be running rich (loads up on fuel, spark plugs are black) The car has min ram afr heads cam ect. CAR HAS NO POWER
2. the car the car take 2/3 atemps to start car
3. Check engine light is showing code 33.
Could it be the Mass air meter?? Is there a way to check the mass air meter with a multimeter? Could find a ohm range for testing.
If the MAF is bad is there better one to replace it with? Also what's the thoughts on modifying the MAF far as removing screen and fins. The one on the car is modified. Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

See if you can get the flow chart here to diagnose a code 33.
I ended up buying a good used one from a guy here for $50.

Start there. My IAC was type 1 and the plunger fell off when I went to check/clean it. Screwed it back on, set it to spec 1.125in I think it is threw it back in. Runs much better. Anything can happen. Good luck.
