Removing cylinder heads without emptying A/C?

Hello!

Is it possible to remove the cylinder heads without emptying the A/C system?

According to my repair manual (Chilton's) it seems so but I'm not sure. Reason for doing this is unfortunatly that I need to "refurbish" my cylinder heads because of leaking valves.

Thanks for your help!

Yep. It's easy to do. Disconnect the compressor from the accessory bracket but do NOT disconnect the lines from the compressor. Just move the compressor to the side, the lines will give you a bit of room to move.
