LB9 TPI 081 Head Porting

Hello

I have some questions about porting my 1989 305 TPI 081 Heads.:

Is it worth to unshroud the stock 1.84 intake valve (Lift 0,488) ?

I added a picture of a chamber with the locations of interest

Can i remove the material at area b completely (is there enough wall th.) ?

There are some gains to be had for sure, but compared to a more modern head design (of the many that are available)just know you are essetially polishing a turd here. Takes a lot of work and the gains will be minimal. However if you want a maximized stock style powerband and are not looking for much HP maybe 10~20 max - go for it. The car can still run good/better by spending the time.

Look for headbytes porting on Youtube for pointers..
