Next mod suggestions....

OK as the car sits it goes 13.52 on a 1.77 60ft at a dismal 95 MPH but its very consistant. My list of mods include: MSD-6AL, 8.8 wires, airfoil, crank pulley only, K&Ns and modified airbox, Catco dual cats, cutout, Flowmaster, LCAs, adj PHB, SFCs, alum DS, SLP 2k converter, shift kit and cooler, MAT relocate and these times were run on BFG drag radials. Since then Ive added SLP 1 3/4 headers and removed my non working AC and now I have $400 to throw at the car, what are some of your opinions of my set up and what would benefit it most?? Im leaning towards a gear swap or a manifold (edelbrock seems to be good for the $ going by searching this topic). I also have SLP LTRs that made my car run slower when I had them on there and they will be tried out again come spring. Im not looking for internal mods just yet, I know cam and heads are the way to go but down the road all of that will be taken care of, for now Im trying to squeeze everything out of the stock internal L98 it has to give, so any opinions would be appreciated!!!

I'd go with gears if you want the most possible speed from this mod...

3.42 gearset, maybe a PR or Ed wright OTS chip if you dont have one(although i have seen good luck with cstock chip and adv. timing) i see you havent done roller rockers yet(that would kinda skew your stock L98 idea though) or how about the belt bypass of the A.I.R. and the A/C compressor(less accys to turn=HP) Youve done most that you can do without getting into the engine a little.

BTW, nice car.

Thanks for the replies and the compliment. Rockers would be something Id consider and will probably wind up doing. Porting the plenum is on the list, I have a chip but its Hypertech and I have many runs with and without and I have NO gains so that was a waste. I was considering a custom burnt chip but I want to make sure itll buy me something, for that kinda $ it should. My timing is stock, Im gonna try bumping it up next time out (March). The AC is out of the car and I have the 1LE delete pulley and I guess I could try to bypass the air pump Ive seen that article before but never tried it. I think Im waiting til after I run with the headers and see what it bought me and Ill go from there. I like to make runs to see what improvements Ive mad if any. Once I get those numbers, itll be time to squeeze some more where I can but thanks for the suggestions, Ill post the results as soon as I have some...

I would buy the stuff to start burning your own chips now is a good time to start doing it while your car doesnt have vary many agressave mods that whay if you dont get it right when you bern it you can always put the old one back in and try again I wish I would have started doing it before I changed the heads and cam when you have to have a custom chip bernt and dont know what your doing it suck I couldnt just stick the stock chip in and get it perform very well. other then that your next best option would probly be gears 3:45

That is a pretty good et for 95 mph. Kick *** 60 ft time too.
Port your plenum and put the other runners on. Its like going from a 40 mm throttle body to 48 mm tb.
