How much power should i get from these mods????

I have a 305 tpi in my 88 transam and i have 1500 to spend on mods.I was thinking of doing slp 1 5/8 headers, high flow cat, ignition coil and distributor upgrade, wires, new plugs, edelbrock high flow base with slp intake runners, porting the stock plenum, adjustable fuel pressure regulator.I already have a flowmaster catback.Let me know how much power u think i should gain from these mods.thanks.

with that much money you could go through jim pace and get a new 350. Or maybe save another grand and buy a 350 ho with 350 hp?? But I think the major thing that you could do to that 305 is heads and a cam. Then go and get a gear for the rear end.

i agree i think you should get the headers maybe, but try a cam and better heads you could get a good set of heads and a good cam for around 1500$

i agree with the heads and cam. for just over a grand you can get trick flows, and a good cam. that would do more than the rest of the mods combined. use the rest for a die cutter set up (porting tool) either air or electric. and you can make more wile having fun grinding. or you can probably find a good rebuilt motor (350) for $1500 , or i've seen used LT1's and LS1's going in that range. lots to choose from when you have a lump sum.
