spark plugs and wires

..need some good brand names what do you guys use? motor is all stock parts.

I need to replace the wires and Im just going to do the plugs at the same time, recently I noticed that inside one of the wires the metal connection broke off, so i replaced the wire with one i had laying around from a v6 ford ranger ...and now it feels like its misfiring and I feel some power loss.

Does it really even matter what brand ? I would think plugs and wires are straight forward for stock engine ... but honestly i'm not sure.

Re: spark plugs and wires

Just use ACDelco OE wires. I get mine off Amazon. Fair price and good quality.

Plugs either go with standard Delco copper plugs, Delco rapidfire platinums, or ngk iridiums if you want to go that route.

Re: spark plugs and wires

Mine is stock except for SLP runners and headers.

I use NGK V-Power copper (2771/UR5) and Accel, cut to length universal wires. Works for me.

Re: spark plugs and wires

Unless you are planning to do any power mods, the stock AC wires and plugs work well and are relatively cheap by comparison. I would stick with them.
