another VATS post!!!!!!!!!

hello to all.
I am trying to get my son's 87 IROC back on the road. I stopped driving it about five years ago and now I'm getting it ready to hit the road again but with my son behind the wheel. The original steering column had extensive damage so I took a steering column off of an 89 RS that I picked up for parts. the RS ran but had a blown head gasket. my question is....... can I use a VATS column in a NON VATS car? what if any modifications will I need to do in order to make this work?
Any and all help will work.
the new VATS column is in..... I can't get it to turn over from the key. I have jumped the starter, the engine turns over but won't run. I have no fuel pressure. I'm not sure if this is do to VATS or if i have other problems. please help.

the red one is now my sons, t top is mine and the RS on the left is my parts car.

Re: another VATS post!!!!!!!!!

Any accessories working ?
Make sure the connections good at the ignition switch. Not easy to access unless you drop down the column. You won't have vats
Sounds like this should've moved to the electrical section.
