Intermittent maf problems ?
Is it possible to have intermittent maf issues ? My 86 keeps throwing an ses light and always seems to be a 33 or 34 code but comes and goes. I always thought mafs were either good or bad, not "going out". I hate to go buy another one and the problem persists.
Thanks for any advice.

Have you tried these tests ? Or is it too intermittent?

Ive done that test but couldn't get repeatable results. It runs fine and no light, then I'll get a hiccup while driving and the light comes on. I reset the code and it's off for a while but always comes back.

You might be able to find a good used Bosch maf in the classified section someone parting out a tpi car 86-89. I have seen good used ones go for aslittle as $50-60.
