Re: compression test results on a 307,69 chevelle

From what I have read about engine compression tests is that you are not looking for an absolute value. Your looking for consistency among the cylinders. Years ago, I did a compression test on an 70's oldsmobile cutlass that I did a backyard novice engine overhaul on. Honed the cylinders with a drill operated hone and installed new rings. Not something I would do again. I remember I got somewhere around 130 - 140 psi on all cylinders except one. That cylinder was 50 - 60 psi.
