Hi. Many places I looked said I would find answers from you guys. This, and future questions may have already been answered, but I'm new and haven't discovered the answers. A little background- I'm an old hot rodder who has worked on carb cars a loooonng time, but I wanted to jump into fuel injection. So i went out and found a TPI complete+ setup on Craigslist- manifold, fuel pump, 2 different wiring harnesses, and 2 different ECMs (along with associated sensors). I got this because: 1- I didn't want the TBI hiding under a stock-ish air cleaner look, 2- I couldn't afford the Hilborn look, and 3- this was cheap & I liked the look. I plan on installing this in a 1928 Ford Model A coupe. Now let the questions begin. But first-

How do I move pix from my album to this thread?

 

Trying this by loading from my iPad. ECM- what year is it? MAF or SD? Info about the company on label? Any guesses on chip? 1st pic, bottom view. 2nd pic, connectors.

All steel ‘28. Underneath- Mustang II coil over disc brake front end, Mustang 8” coil over rear end, SBC 350 c.i. 290 hp crate motor, turbo 400 trans, etc.

 

The ecm is a c4 corvette weatherpack ecm. Obviously custom tuned for a 383

Thanks for the replies. Now on to the next questions..... Do I have to re-burn the prom cuz it’s for a 383 and not a 350? Is there a place that can scan it to see what’s what? I assume that because it says off road that the vats has been disabled? Finally, what is the thing on the bottom and what does it do?

 

It can be read but it would be best to start over with a tune. It might have egr air pump disabled. The other piece is a relay.

 

To elaborate, a 383 uses way larger injectors, the ve table will be to far off for a 350. Same thing with a unknown timing table. It’s better to start over . The relay could of been a fan or fuel pump relay.

 

Thanks for all the replies guys.... now on to the next phase. As I said before a wiring harness came with it. That’s the long shot pic. There are a couple of connectors that I am unsure of... The connector in the 2nd goes to...? The connector in the 3rd pic goes to...? And there are individual connectors. Any ideas? I guess this was a no frills wiring harness for a stand alone install?
