92 305 tpi issues

New long block recently installed, new map sensor, new plugs/wires, new Distributor. On initial acceleration the rpms drop before the car goes. Once the initial drop happens the car runs fine until you let off the throttle. Once you engage the throttle again it happens again. Now the cars rpms will go up and down for no reason. When you put the car in gear the car stalls. It fires right back up but stalls again once in gear. Can anyone help with these issues. The fuel pump and filter were just replaced as well.

Sounds like something is causing to go very rich or lean when a change in manifold pressure occurs (i.e., changes to throttle position, going from P/N to in-gear).

Or if you're already very rich the same change in manifold pressure is adding the normal amount of fuel, but it's enough to temporarily flood the engine and cause the stalling.

I assume this is a completely factory car? Do you have the ability to scan the car?

Is the O2 sensor connected? It could be searching for fuel rich/lean

02 sensor is connected and we do have a snap-on scanner. The car is complete stock. We have received zero codes. Is the Idle Air Control adjustable? Or do you install and plug in only?
