I know this probably belongs in the exaust section but I wanted to ask my fellow TPI owners what there favorite headers are. I am running a 350 tpi soon to be 383 or 406 built for torque not horsepower. I want a good set of headers such as the slp's but would prefer a long tube or tri-y if there are some good ones out there. I don't want to give up ground clearance because I am lowered but I don't mind ditching the air tubes or moving the cat if it matters. Thanks for your help and oppinion.

you wont give up much clearance on the headers but the y pipes gonna scrape. If your building it for torque then go with the LT's

Yes I am building the engine for torque so I was interested in long tubes. Why would the longtube headers y-pipe scrape more than a short tubes assuming it was the same O.D.? Does anyone have experance with a brand or LTs?
Thanks for the help.

the long tubes collector goes past where the stock location of the y pipe would be. So you have to run a y pipe under your tranny mount
