Re: What happens when you max out the stock mass

Closer to 300 whp give or take depending on rpm

Most heads cam intake swap cars will get close if not exceed the program limit

doesnt mean anything bad really, just means the maf is no longer capable of fueling the motor above the 255 g/s limit or whatever. It will still take in more air but the fueling now has to come from enrichment tables vs rpm and open loop enrichments.

easy to work around

edit: if you mean how much can be made thru the 3” maf housing, it would be over 400 whp. It becomes a restriction the higher you go just the air velocity increases alot more. A 3.5” on my 400 whp 383 did not gain anything that i could see at the track

Re: What happens when you max out the stock mass

I just got rid of the problematic MAF system by installing the EBL Flash-II from Dynamic EFI.

Besides the tuning difficulties and dangers inherent in the stock MAF limitations - quality replacement MAF's are expensive and getting harder to find. For the cost of a decent MAF you are almost at the cost of going to the EBL system which runs off $10 MAP and IAT sensors that are in stock at every corner parts store.
