1986 Camaro IROC Z Stalled and Low Power
Earlier today I drove my 1986 Camaro IROC Z to my parents house. She drove fine, car sat for eight hours and I started it and she stalled out once with a rough idle (she's been a rough idle lately, not a high one but a rough one where it goes back and forth between 500-700 RPM before either stalling or reving to stay a alive). I restart the car, she starts no problem, I rev the engine once to keep her alive, I put the car in reverse, about to back out but a Jeep goes speeding by. She stalls and dies. I try starting the car again but not she's acting like the battery is dead. I hear the starter click and all my electronics died. I put the jump box on the car, electronics comeback and jump box says my battery is at 93%.
Every time I try to start the car, my electronics die and I hear the starter only click once (not the machine gun click of a dead battery). Any idea of what could have happened?

You should first verify your battery connections are clean and tight. If that is good then have your battery load tested, a bad battery can show 12 volts and fail a load test and give you what you are hearing. I wouldn't worry about the rest until you verify the battery and connections are good.

Re: 1986 Camaro IROC Z Stalled and Low Power
I'm going to test my battery load. One thing I just remember. About a week ago I went to start my car and when I turned the key the starter wouldn't even click like the battery was dead. (The electronics worked) I pulled my parking brake handle to turn the brake on and was about to exit the car in frustration. However, I tried to start it one more time and she started with no problem.

You could be looking at a sticky or failing solenoid. Once you know the easily accessible items are good that's the next thing. This just happened on another thread here:

Yup, 100% with PaulyC... Check Connections, Have it load tested, if all is well have your starter tested. I am guessing a dead cell, but could be any of them.
