Air foil

I just bought a Air foil off of ebay and i was just wondering when i putt it in do i need to replace the throttle body cover gasket ????

If it rips or tares or seems dry replace it. If not it may be ok.

No you do not. Just be careful when removing the cover, and the gasket will be fine. To be sure of a good seal, lightly coat gasket with a coat of engine oil before re-assembly...it will seal great. You should also be able to install the foil with the throttle body on the plenum. I 've got one and it works nice. I think the foil helped . On a built 305 / 350 they are rated at giving 10-12 hp max on the TPIS dyno. In reality on a more or less stock engine, I've seen in print 4-6 h.p. being the gain. To enhance the foil, I also gutted the air boxes and went to K&N filters.

I've got a TPiS Air Foil installed on my TB and it produces a noticeable little increase in throttle response, nothing to brag about, but it helps and was worth the money $46.00 (new).

I also have a partial gutted airbox and K&Ns....
