LG4 to TPI 350 Swap
LG4 to TPI 350 Swap
Ok, I'm working on my LG4-Speed Density TPI 350 Swap and am wondering what items I can carry over to the new engine. I figure the alternator, AC compressor, Power Steering pump can be moved over. Am I correct in this? I need to replace the water pump anyway. What about the AIR Pump, Charcoal canister, some of the relays? Are these totally different for the TPI setup? Anybody have detailed info about a swap they did? (Maybe a web page or something)
A web site
Here is a web site that may help with all the parts you may need. If you go to that sites message board Benard Tripp did a Lg4 to TPI conversion.

I think Benard Tripp is GMTech here on this board but I'm not sure.
That's the best I can do for you, hope it helped.

Doing the swap is a pain, but it sure looks pretty.
Here is my swap, it's 99.99% done.

Ya, the TPI is stock looking, besides the SLP Dual Cold Air Intake.
I have a 52mm Throttle Body, 160* stat, 87 TPI heads, 87 TPI setup with MAF to SD conversion, Custom Prom/Memcal, MSD 6A and Blaster 3 coil, and a Cam.
I am hoping for 300+hp at the Flywheel from my sbc305.
Here is a side shot of the car,

I've got 17x9 WS6 Wheels from a 97 WS6 Trans Am with Kuhmo 275/40/17 Ecsta Supra 712's all the way around.
