I also suggest the Delphi injectors over the loud, annoying Bosch III. More expensive, but worth it. I'll never install Bosch III on another third gen again.

Anyone know if the new Delphis are as failure prone as the original Multecs?

No they are not. The multecs were made between 1985-1994 ish
The Delphi injectors are a newer design

Re: Need to replace fuel injectors on my 1988 305High Output TPI w 5speed manual

When I did my 86 Corvette injectors, I replaced the thermostat (180*) , EGR Valve, Fuel Pressure regulator diaphragm, fuel filter, while I had it apart. I knew from the previous owner, it had water in the fuel tank, so I cleaned tank out and removed the injector fuel rail, disassembled it, replaced the O Rings and bead blasted the rust, off the pressure regulator housing. (FWIW I did plugs, cap, rotor, wires, PCV also, but you certainly don't have to do that).

I will be doing the same job, on my 89 IROC Z 305 TPI Vert, soon.
