i have a tpi engine waiting for me. i currently have a 305tbi rs(you done laughing) and i wanna trade that in for the tpi(dont know if its a 305 or 350) i have the entire car for use the wire harness the ecm and thing else i might need. well what i need help with is i have and air bag and sercurity key for my car which are factory. do i needa change those out? another thing my car is 90 im getting the parts out of a 87iroc any other mods i needa do? thanks id appreciate any help i can get

 

You should not have to worry about the airbag. Your 1990 is a speed density car now, the 87 TPI and harness is a mass air flow system. search the boards for information, you can keep your car speed density, just need a different harness. Look in the tech articles, there is a article on a TBI to speed density TPI. But since you already have everything that you need, I'd stay with the mass air flow system. I am making the swap myself, sometime next month, if my job will keep me in town. Anyway Good luck !!
