Suggestions please

Team Third Gen,

I would like some opinions/thoughts/experiences please.

My 1991 Z28 carries a 350 bored 30 over with a procharger. Still has pretty stock TPI set up. It also has some basic upgrades to accomodate the supercharger set up.

I purchased and EBL with the ecu and have had my fill with trying to get it dialed in. Not to speak ill of EBL. The depth of tuning is just well beyond my capabilities.

My question is about removing EBL and adding a self tuning system. I was advised to look into the Holley 560-601 system. It would be another 2-3k investment and i really would like to know what the team thinks. Would LOVE to hear from those that have tried it, and if there is another option..... please let me know.

Furthermore.....If anyone is upgrading and would consider selling a good COMPLETE system.... I may be interested. If you seek an EBL... Please let me know that too.

Thank you all!

Not sure what depth you're referring to, as the system has all of the parameters already filled in. All you're doing is smoothing it out. Select your L98 bin, change your engine size to 355, select the size of your injectors, select which MAP sensor you are running, and that is it. Where is the depth? The boost parameters (fuel and timing) are already filled in for you. All you are doing is smoothing everything out, the VE, the SA, the AE,the PE, which again are already pre-filled from the L98 parameters. I would be glad to walk you through it...

... but if you have your heart set on the Holley, then go for it...

Re: Suggestions please

Self tuning EFI is a BAD idea for a forced induction application. It can't know what's appropriate for your combo. You should look for a proper tuning shop with dyno that is willing to dial in the EBL for you.
