thinking about parting with my TPI system

so i have been debating for a few weeks on going EFI sniper but originally wanted to keep everything stock (as far as wire harness and such)
i think I've came to the conclusion that i want to start selling off my harness, ecm, Moates tuner kit and all of the oem fuel system parts..
i also have a set of 60 lbs injectors and an adjustable fuel regulator to go with it..
my question is how much would something like this sell for?

Re: thinking about parting with my TPI system

I buy complete TPI setups for around $100 to $400 depending on what all is included and what year and car they were off of. The last setup, less the harness, I picked up I believe was off of a Vette, included everything from the intake base on up, had the 9th injector, and I paid $150. However I also picked up a complete setup plus a bunch of other NOS parts for $250 in the fall. That deal included SLP runners, harness, computer, basically everything to make an engine run.

So depending on their condition and if someone in your area is willing to buy it all, I'd say in the $250 to $400 range, but the issue is that people aren't really looking for TPI stuff anymore.

I remember when TPI was all the rage and you saw them on every high end build in every magazine. It was the setup to have if you were looking for the most wow factor on your build, but now days its all about the LS series engines, and I'm fine with that. The last setup I bought the guy had been trying to sell it for three months and I was the first to inquire about it. I basically gather up these aging parts and tuck them away for swap meets and to sell in the future when they're not really that common place anymore. If the market doesn't ever come back for them I can always melt them down for scrap too!

I have a soft spot for the L98. To me, its an iconic engine that was pretty advanced for its time. Sure, easily bested by modern LS engines, but nothing will top that gorgeous design.

I agree, one of the best looking engines and when running properly a fun street engine. I actually am building up an L98 with old school speed parts like aftermarket intake base, runners etc. Its been a fun build and unique in a world of LS swaps etc. I also took care to save all my factory TPI parts, someday they will be hard to come by.

Exactly where I'm at too and I guess that's why I was absolutely beside my self when I came across a set of SLP runners for really cheap. I always wanted a set and think it's just the cherry on top!

Those are a great find, if you do some porting those can really flow. I went with AS&M runners on mine and can’t wait to see the difference once the weather gets better.
