305 TPI on a 1992 Firebird Trans Am

Hello everyone happy 4th of July!

I am trying to get my car to run after replacing almost every single sensor, injectors, spark plugs and wires I even had a mechanic replace the distributor... It idles fine but backfires at 6degrees, at 12 degrees it runs better but still bogs down at 30% or more throttle... It has a new fuel filter a new fuel pump, new fuel pressure regulator. No codes no engine light... The degrees above are with the computer advance cable disconnected... I tested the car after shutting down, reconnecting the cable for the advance and starting the car back up...

Also the fuel tank was cleaned and new REC 90 fuel was added to it.. it has about 8 gallons. I just double checked the spark plugs cables / firing order and it is correct...

I just installed a fuel pressure gauge not sure if it is accurate it is showing 30psi the sensor is connected to the schrader valve in the fuel rail
Amazon Amazon

I must be doing something wrong I cant figure out what...

Thank you!

What brand of fuel pump? 30psi fuel pressure at idle? or under load? Either way its too low. It could be a bad fuel pump.

Not sure what brand it is... My mechanic installed it a few months ago, when the car would not start... I am afraid he may have installed a TBI pump intead of TPI... It is 30psi at all times even under load... I ordered a new fuel gauge today to make sure that the pressure is accurate before I go thru the process of replacing the pump again.. Do you know a good brand to buy?

Just to be sure I would double check the pressure with another gauge.

For a stock to mildly modded car you can't go wrong with a genuine GM replacement but many on here also seem to like the Bosch. This is one part you don't want to cheap out on considering the labor to replace it.
