Heads, Casting number 624

hi, i am looking into some heads and was wondering exactly what they are. i was told they are 76 cc and were vette heads. the casting number is 624. can anyone veryify what these are? thanks a lot!

They are not 'vette heads. They are 76 cc 1.94-1.50 perimeter bolt pattern on the valve covers and are for early style intakes(up to '86). They would lower the compression too much unless you change pistons.

yeah i will be changing pistons. i am building a 355 tpi motor from scratch and havent purchased anything yet. i am getting all my parts straight before i do anything yet. i have one more question for you. what compression ratio should i be running with a set of domed pistons? tahnks a lot

No more than 9.8 with steel heads, alum. maybe 10.1
