Hard gas pedal

I have a 92 Camaro with the 305 TPI. The throttle has a hard spot right at the top where you have to push it hard. Past that, the petal is smooth as silk. How would I fix this?

does the pedal feel sloppy side to side? Possible that the bushing at the pivot point has degraded and is binding. It’s a cheap part and not a terribly difficult repair it that’s the issue.

doesn’t seem to have in play to the sides. I’ve tried lubing the spring in the throttle body and the assembly but I’ve had no luck. Do I maybe need to just grease the throttle cable?

Re: Hard gas pedal

Clean the throttle body. I'm betting you will find anything but shiny aluminum when you inspect it.
