I bought a 91 305 with a 5 speed, after getting it home I cam to the hard decision to part it out. The car is twisted from a accident, and is not worth fixing. Basically I got screwed on it, and it is not worth fixing. So my solution is to buy a 87 IROC with no power train (had a carburetor engine) and I am planning on moving the running gear from the 91 to the 87.

I have a few concerns on this, and would appreciate some advise.

1. The 87 was a automatic with a mechanical speedo, the 91 is a 5 speed manual with a electronic speedo
   1. How do I convert the mechanical to electronic speedo, I want to keep the 87 cluster as I like them over the 90-92 clusters.
2. Since the 87 was not TPI and I plan on installing the TPI into it, I will need to move the ECM and wiring harness too, can the 91 harness be split apart
   1. Can this be done, or should I try to find a 87 harness from a TPI car?
   2. I have the gas tank and sending unit out of the 91, will the 87 even have power at the tank to run the fuel pump?

The 91 is a complete running car with nothing missing, so I am trying to salvage as may part as I can.
