Removing CAT

Anyone remove a CAT and not get a smelly exhaust ??

My 82 w no cat smells the same as my friends 69 w no cat as well as another friends 76 w no cat. My car has smelt pretty much the same regardless of the engine in it. Maybe the exhaust smell has gotten slightly stronger as I've moved up in engine builds. You can smell the old 50s-70s cars on the road that are stock. The old high octane/leaded gas absolutely smelled different, it kind of had a sweeter smell.

Nothing smells like a deleted diesel, at least we have that going for us!
