Fuel pump troubleshooting
Hi all,
Trying to troubleshoot a no start issue. I don't hear the "prime" from the fuel pump and have followed the troubleshoot instructions I found on the forums. I found 12.36v on the orange wire at the relay and jumpered to the grey/white wire with the relay unplugged. No sound. I also tested the relay by connecting 12v from battery to the coil and checking the contacts. It worked, I hear clicks and the contacts change state. I then went to the body plug by the rear end and found 6.26v from grey/white to "purple?" and the same from purple to black. I found 0 from black to the grey/white. Im guessing I might see 12v initially if I flip the key on but I can't do that from under the car. On the other side I have 46ohms from purple to black and open on every other measurement. 88 firebird formula 350 tpi. Not stock but never touched the fuel system and it ran fine when I parked it yesterday. Can anyone give me some suggestions before I rip the tank out?
