I watched a video the other day that gave an easy way to add just a little more hp the base 305, by using a ram air system with shortened runners, then gave a co. the made these with complete kits, manifolds, runners, in throttle body, has anyone else heard of this low profile intakes. I have seen them but they seem to be only listed for the LS motors which I do not have, can i still incorparate this intake to my engine. I do know i would need to tweek computer or change it altogether.
Gen 1 sbc and the LS platform are 2 entirely different things.
you need to search "free mods", tpis insider hints book and several other basics. That'll help pep it up before braking into the engine itself.

Re: Ram air TPI on 1988 305
You are using some confusing terms and stuff in your question so I'm having to do a lot of mind reading and mental translating of what you said and what I think you meant to say.
Anyways I think this is what you are asking about. You need the Holley Hi-Ram Front-Feed EFI Intake Manifold Kit - Small Block Chevy PN 300-951 unless you have a big azz high rise hood. I'd do triple checks to see if the front feed version will fit under a 3rd gen Firebird hood and exactly which version of a 3rd gen Firebird hood.
