Engine Removal question

Hey guys
When i pull my motor out on my camaro (l98) should i unbolt the tranny and leave it under the car or should i pull the whole thing out together?

I pulled just the engine on mine gut you may be able to pull both at once if you pull all the pulleis off it other wize it may be a little tite trying to get it out. you may want to pull the trans any whay it a good time to change seals and add shift kits and to a vett servo if auto.

If you pull both at once, then a handcrank leveler is a good investment. Hopefully the cherry picker can get that high.. Use the longest position you can.

i have an ac delco engine stand and leveler. i just got done taking the motor out of the car. it is 500% easier to remove both together. it is a PITA to the to the tranny to engine bolts in the car. my hoist cleared the whole thing even with the car on jackstands. when you take it out just be careful and alert and watch for all the little stuff. while it is out get some new motor mounts too
