EGR or no?

Today I yanked out the 85 LB9 out of my 83 Berlinetta. Going into it is a 74 vintake 350 with the 1985 TPI goodies up top. Currently the 350 has a Sealed Power 209/216@ 0.050 cam, ported heads, headers, etc. Should I disable or block off intake heat and EGR function at the head and EGR valve? I live in Seattle, so climate is mild. Will the stock chip (1985) throw a fit? I removed the AIR pump, no SES light, so would EGR removal trigger it?

I havent run across a MAF car that will trigger a code, even though its supposed to. The AIR you can disconnect and the ecm will not care no matter what else you disconnect.

Theres not much point in disabling the EGR, about the worst thing it does is adds heat to the intake manifold and makes the inside of the manifold messy. Theres a big debate about it increasing performance or not. You want the absolute truth, at WOT it will help with it gone and the crossover blocked, since you will not be heating the intake with exhaust gasses. The EGR will not make your car faster at WOT since its not on at WOT, so dont let anyone con you into believing it will help your car in the 1/4.

If you do use it, just make sure it's functioning correctly. They can really make a car run like crap when stuck open.
