Painless TPI wiring harness
I have a 1986 Iroc with TPI and have the engine and wiring out. My TPI wiring has some bare wires and broken connectors. I was thinking of getting the Painless TPI harness, but they said it is too short to fit in the stock hole through the fender. Also it does not have the wiring for oil pressure and water temperature. Has anyone else put it in there? How did you wire the oil pressure and water temp. Did you run it through the stock location or what?
Thanks

Painless makes an extra long version also.
I would look at getting your fixed first, it would be much cheaper. You could also take advanage while the harness is out and swap from MAF to Speed Density.
E-mail me if you need help or want it fixed/modified for you.

The oil pressure wire and water temp wire for your guages are not part of the Wiring harness for the ECM. They run into a bulkhead connector on your drivers side firewall. You can swap wiring harnesses for the ECM and the water temp wire and oil pressure wire won't be affected.
i would not use the painless because it is not a factory replacement harness. it worked well in my monte SS and the extra long worked so that i could mount the computer in the stock location. have the stock harness mended, this should be alot less headaches on you and the pocket book should stay a little thicker as well. painless harness is expensive. does a wonderful job, though, no complaints here
