tpis FAST PAK
tpis FAST PAK
Includes:
TPiS Air Foil, TPiS Billet Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, Magnum Spark Plug Wires, TPiS Air Filter Element, Billet TPiS I.D. Plate, 8 Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs (add $30 to upgrade to +4's), and a Battery Mat.
How much of a horsepower/torque increase/restore can be expected with using this on a 91 L-98 w/80,000 miles?
What would be a recommended fuel pressure setting for performance reasons?
What are the +4's they want $30 for?
Thankyou for any help.

ok ill do my best to answer this for you
i wasted money on TPI`s insider ints book, which is a bunch of crap it doesnt tell you anything really useful, anyways in the bok it has a dyno graph for the following
87 305 tpi w/MAF and tpi`s fastpak:
stock fuel pressure was 42 psi and here are the results
TQ HP
2000
2250 237.7 101.8
2500 241.7 115.1

4750 245.0 221.6

the list below is there results for the same motor at 46 psi numbers in parenthesis indicae change.
RPM TQ HP

4750 242.1 (-2.9) 221.6 (-2.6)
5000 225.0 (-2.6) 216.7 (-2.5)
now of course i think anyone on these boards will wave one of these
at there results, dont get me wrong you will probably notice a increase in gas mileage, throttle reponse, driveability, etc. probably a minor increase in performance by installing a fastpack, but if i were you id look into buying the components seperately. thats what i did, also made my own adjustable fuel pressure regulator, which is very easy to do. if your in need of a tuneup and just want to get everything in a kit then get it but if you shop around like i did (ebay, summit racing etc.) you may be able to cut the cost down considerably.
oh on another note, the platinum +4 sparkplugs have 4 electrodes, just another gimmick, they sell for $6.99 a peice where i work at, and i used a set in the past (free promo)
and i didnt think they were that great.
well i hope i could help,if you have any more questons feel free to e-mail me
sorry so long
