2.8 mpfi to carb swap.

I have a 1988 Firebird. It has mpfi and i cant express how much i hate the damn thing. I love the car but just hate the fi. Could I just change intake manifolds? I need ALL info about this swap. Thanks for your help.

Ever drive a carbed 2.8? They're pigs. MPFI was a ***-send on those motors.

But if you really want to... you can get an edelbrock intake, a 400-ish cfm carb, something to knock the fuel pressure down to 5lbs, hotwire the fuel pump, and maybe 1 or 2 other small details that I'm overlooking.

Thanks, but i all ready have a carburator and intake off a 2.8. I was wondering if a guy could just change those two out and run a seperate fuel line from the tank and just unplug the fuel pump fuse. Sorry, I should have been more specific.
