Rehashed baseplate question: Which brand is best?
After seeing Kevin post 100 times that they're all the same, I pretty much planned on getting the low-cost Edelbrock, but not one single person on corvetteforum has said that they're close. They swear that the edelbrock's ports are barely larger than stock, and that the accel has larger ports. I know that the TPIS is just a ported edelbrock unit, but I'm confused about the accel units. From what I can find, the regular accel and the Super Ram base are different, with the super ram base having much larger ports... about the same size that the edelbrock can be ported out to. So... truth, rumor, what? Anybody put a Superram base next to an edelbrock base?

A little more info:
Stock baseplate has a 1.470" runner diameter.
The Accel is 1.770
Anybody know what size the Edelbrock is?
