MRP super lite TPI setup???

I think MRP is one of those companies that went down early in the TPI days, kinda like First and some others I have forgotten the names of.
Nothing wrong with composite intake manifolds, but I am pretty sure the MRP setup was not anywhere near as good of material as the later composite manifolds.

Performance Resource...is there new name!
Thanks "DAZ" for the info!
Daz is using a mrp chip!
I took a 190 Benz evo engine appart and the Intake was out of
"aerospace plastic"...very lite and no wonder they won races with a lite car in the touring car championship!
I have a other post running asking for lite Super Ram parts like the lid for example!
Anybody got some info on that?
Has "Hartman" anything else in there plastic store than the airfoil??
Again thanks for the info guys! Not common on a board where
threads are closed...MHHHMMM!

Yup.. MRP is now known is Performance Resource M?? I called the guy when I saw an article in a magazine from 1989 that used their plastic plenum. He laughed and said I must be looking at a 10 year old magazine... LOL... Well, I ordered their chip instead
I've been looking for that plastic plenum as well, you have to find it used, no chance in buying it new.

I will asked a "plasic" molding company what they have to say about it and let ya know!
The idea came up when i got this so famous super ram in my hands weeks ago and thought that its pretty heavy!
The lid is good to amor a tank!
Some people said there is a lite lid, if not it´s a nice weekend jo
to get one done!
The aerospace composite stuff , mercedes and LS1 cars are using
should be the best way to further diet the motor.
I met the hartman folks at pomona years ago and loved there lite stuff....

MRP Composite TPI Plenum
On my TPI there's a 1/2" or so diameter tube on both sides in the center, I don't see the ports for these tubes on the MRP composite, aren't they needed?
Can someone explain?

i think its the EGR port. i don't think you want that hot gas in one of these intakes.

A word to the wise: Be Very Careful About That Plenum.
A guy on the CorvetteForum posted that he use to own that very one and it's a piece of junk.
Apparently it leaks, stripped threads, etc.
He posted about that plenum within the past two weeks. So anyone wanting to read it can do a search.
