Ok here goes...any help is definalty appriciated.
I have a 1992 trans am with the 5.7 tpi motor. It is mostly stock with the following mods, k&n tb clamp on filter, gutted cats, flowmaster exhaust. It has been completly tuned up, plugs wires cap fluids etc. It runs great, mid to low 14 sec quarters. However at 145K miles its time for a rebuild. I was going pretty much stock with the bottom end bearings rings etc. Now for the top end i plan on porting the entire TPI system and adding headers. Are there any CHEAP heads that would give me a noticable increase in power? How about a cam that would work with my stock computer and chip? Any ideas are welcome, also has anyone done this same sort of build-up before? Thanks for the help guys.

 

As soon as you change the cam profile, you're probably going to have to do some reprogramming of the ECM PROM. That doesn't have to be expensive either, but can be time consuming to get it right.
