Rebuilding L98 TPI

I need some advise on what rebuild kit or parts to get as well as sources to rebuild my Iroc 87 TPI engine, I may use a shut of nos later on. I'm planing on getting new heads and new cam also.

what type of budget are you on? that is the #1 most important thing we need to know.

My budget is limited, like $2000. That may include the heads or they may come later.

The easiest way would be to buy a rebuilt long block from any car parts store and swap in a peformance roller cam. If you drop the motor in your self you may have enough left over for a set of headers and some exhaust. Northern Auto Parts sells very affordable rebuild kits (I don't have a link, but you should be able to find it with a search--they might not even have a website so I can get you some info if your interested). Machining is where alot of money can be spent if your rebuilding(playing cheap at this part hurts!) It's going to take more money and tuning to get into the 12's--but the quickest way after your build would be to drop another $2000 on n20 and a converter.
