IROC performance question
I own a 1987 IROC-Z with the 5.7L TPI engine and the automatic transmission. Everything under the hood is stock, transmission and rearend are stock. The only modification on the car is a flo-pro exhaust. It has never been dyno tested or even seen a dragstrip. I was just curious what kind of power my car might make and what 0-60 and quarter-mile times it would produce.
very's on a lot of things, milage and condition of the engine can also play a factor, but just figure on a little over 200 horsepower with 1/4 mile times in the mid to high 14's with a 0-60 of somewhere around high 6 or low 7 sec.
but, again this is just a broad range, there are certainly freaks from the factory that are better than that as well as there are cars that are slower.
just take it to a track or put it on a dyno.

If your car is in top stock running condition and has less than like 100,000 miles, they usually have a 0-60 of 6.2-6.4 and a 1/4 mile of 14.2-14.4. They've gotten those numbers before on the boards and in magazine tests, but sometimes they are a few tenths slower considering.
