Disappointing SLP runners

My runners showed up today and I have to say I am disappointed. They looked great at first, but then I pulled out the gaskets. They are simply the standard tpi gasket, for some reason I thought they would be siamesed at the top. I test fit the gaskets, no where close to right (see pic) there is not one centimeter of it that matches up. It is not the end of the world, I planned on porting and gasket matching anyway. As for the bolts, why couldn't they just add the 2 more for the complete matching set?

You are kidding, right?? The gaskets are normal probaby because of the factory plenum is not siamesed.

I have SLP runners and I like them. Just order sone gaskets from Linenfelter ($12) they have custom cut MR. Gasket sets for large tube runners. The gaskets are flat and have no ridges around the ports so it is easy to trim them to match the runners perficly and they seal fine. I ported the runners out and siamesed a little deaper and they are a good.

I am going to port and gasket match, they will be great then. (Especially for the price) I am not upset, I just expected a little better for SLP. As for the gaskets, the fact they are stock isn't the big problem, its that the don't match up at all. They are NOT uniformly too small, if you look at the picture you will see the upper right section is too big in some areas and too small in others. (ie. the runners on are not uniformly round and/or not centered properly)
87transam5.7tpi : Thanks for setting up the GP, you saved me some good cash, no reason to apologize.
