Are Dented Runners Hurting IROC Z

Hey

I have a 1985 IROC Z Camaro with the 305 TPI... The runners on my engine have a couple dings in them. They arnt to bad...There is about 3 of them. I am wondering if that is hurting the 1/4 mile time and 0-60 time of my car... If it is does anyone know where I could get some new STOCK RUNNERS... Or would I be better or with getting High Performance runners.. The Engine on has an ADS chip.

If the holes arent bad as you say it sould affect performance hardly at all if any.... The real restriction in the Stock TPI setup is the stock manifold....... get an aftermarket base and then some SLP runners or even a superram set up and youll be set.

Hey Imports, where can ya get a good Aftermarket base without having to buy a friggin' kit? Don't you have to buy runners with both the Super Ram and the Edelbroch TPI bases?

I think I got my Edelbrock base from carpartsonline.com or one of those sites. Small dents are not gonna affect your airflow enough to show up in the 1/4. Unless you took a sledge hammer to em!

sauron the the base for the long tube runner and superram is the exact same set up..... you can use the stock manifold with the superram or you can use a hogged out TPIS big mouth manifold...... I would not buy the edelbrock TPI base because the TPIS big mouth base is ACTUALLY an edelbrock base that was professionaly ported and port matched........ I dont think the TPIS base is all that much more anyway.......

AS for me.... i was going to do the LT1 intake from millican thing... but i like torque and streetability and you lose A LOT of low end torque but you gain a lot of high end HP (better for drag racing)..... I plan on doing a STOCK TPI base like this http://www.mycar.net/mafb/registry/detail.cfm?id=201 with some fully siamezed and ported SLP runners and a fully ported siamized plenum with a 58 mm TB, I eventually want to replace the built 355 with a all forged 406!!!$$$$ and if that doesnt float my boat, I really like the idea of a fully bolt on supercharger system with an intercooler like the paxton one...
