I have a friend who is willing to sell me a 350 TPI w/ an estimated 60 to 90 thousand miles on the motor. It runs good, doesn't smoke or anything and only thing he told me about it that wasn't stock is that it has the ZZ9 cam. He wants $1000 for it. Is that decent?

 

Not to drive a wedge between you and your friend, but unless the engine is recently built, it may not be worth that much.

Remember you can get a NEW engine from GM for $1,700.00

 

scoggin dickeys even has complete replacement 350 crate engines for as low as around 1300-1400

 

It has been recently rebuilt with this stuff (zz9 and whatever else). I guess he just meant the block or somthing has those miles.
