Porting the plenum and SLP runners...

I have a question about adding SLP runners and gasket matching them to them plenum. Is it better to just have the outside of the ports on the plenum cleaned up to match the gaskets OR is it better to clear away the dividing piece between each port and continue with matching the rest to the gaskets?? This might be a dumb question and I hope you get what I mean but Id rather ask and catch some flak than to make any mistakes as these pieces can be expensive and I dont know whats the proper way to go about it. Since the area that the SLP runners bolt up to the plenum is one large open section it leads me to belive that knocking out that section on the plenum so its one large opening as well would be the correct way to go about it, any info would be appreciated, especially if you have before and and after track times, thanks!!
