Custom AFR's: Are They Worth It?

ok, i got my LT1 intake coming for my 383 buildup. i got to thinking, "why modify the intake, when i can get the heads done with the LT1 pattern?" than i got to thinking. what if the LT1 just doesnt do it for me, or what if i need to go back to the TPI base, than id be fuxed for putting it back on becuase the heads would have the LT1 pattern. would it be simple to modify a TPI style base for the LT1 pattern. or should i just be non-lazy and mod the LT1 intake? AFR said they'd do the 190cc heads for me like this for a few hundred more, but since its custom, there is no return on it. im not sure what to do

just do the intake. that way you save some cash and if you ever sdecide to sell your heads, you will be able to find alot of buyers instead of just one guy.
