I have a 1985 IROC Z Camaro with a 305 LB9 TPI. The car is all stock except a ADS chip. So guys post your 1/4 mile times, and the mods that got u to that time. See if our 305s can keep up with the big bad 350s....or do we smoke em

i keep up with 350s very well
i run a 14.86 at the track with only the mods listed below
i have not opened the motor
and i have no tracking cosidering my posi is shot

 

Times and mods are in my sig, and were run on a shot clutch (slipping to hell) and 2 bad injectors. The runners havent even been lifted yet... With the new clutch and the injectors, Im hoping to hit 13.99. Well see in a few weeks hopefully.

I'm putting new fluid in my differential and racing it next weekend. Hopefully that'll help my Limited slip be less slip. I've had the car for 5 years and never changed it so who knows. I'll post new times next week.

14.4 @ 96.8 mph....102,000 miles, 5 speed, 3.42 gears, edelbrock headers, cat, flowmaster muffler, homemade intake, siamesed base, SLP chip, homemade AFPR(51psi), Crane 2032 cam,(214/220), 1.6 RR, underdrive pullies. Desperately needs some tuning(custom chip).

Went 14.6 @ 96 mph with just chip/intake/exhaust

 

If your car is automatic a very large e/t reduction can be had from a higher stall torque converter. I ran 14.6 @ 96 with a 2.3 60 foot time. With 3.42 gears, suspension work, and a rebuilt trans I'm hoping to be well into the 13s on street tires.

Mods & times in sig.BTW the run was on Pep Boys 245/50/ZR16's.Drag radials should put it in the 13's.

My times and all the stuff I've done are in my sig. Sorry about the length, it's a list copied from my web-page. My best 60 foot time (which was on my best run by the way) is a 2.204.

- SLP headers
- SLP catback exhaust
- K&N filters
- Airfoils
- Custom Ram Air
- Transgo shift kit
- Corvette servo
- AFPR
- MSD 6A ignition
- high performance plugs and wires

I'd say add a chip to that list and that would get you low 14's at about 96-98 mph.

8.8 mm wires
MSD 48,000 volt coil
splitfire plugs
airfoil
Stewart Water Pump
Jamex foam dirty filters
Slipping transmission
Running way rich

= 2.3 60 ft. 15.4 @ 88

I ran a 2.2 60ft, but the trans slipped from 3rd to 4th and i chugged to only a 16.2

Since then i have added k&n filters, i might run the car tuesday night.
