I want to sell my car because it has become to overwhelming for me to fix. I figure I'll buy one in better running

order when I get some more money. But for now could you guys please tell me if you think $600 is too much to ask?

1986 Trans Am
305 TPI (needs rebuilding because it ticks from somewhere in the block) Runs/drives okay besides the noise
automatic trans mission that was rebuilt and driven on for two years. (not hard driving, just normal stop and go)
T-tops
needs paint
body is strait except for the pass fender-needs replacing
brakes are fine
all power accessories work i.e.; windows, locks cruise control.
A/C system has been removed but I have all the parts. (only under hood parts removed: hoses and compressor)
pass headlight bracket is broken but the light motors work fine. interior isn’t all that good. needs carpet and front seats reupholstered. Needs headliner and dash pad.
Digital instrument panel
Z28 wheels with good tires (drivable anyway)
mileage-no clue, the odometer is broken (glass for digital odometer cracked when I got it

are you kidding if you sell that car for 600 you are a dumb ***
if it has tpi and it is a trans am not a firbird you can sell it for mor
the ouside does not look abd and is easily fixed
a guy can get fenders for $70 and paint it for $250 and have him self i nice looking car and the interior dont wory about it
i would start asking at at least $1200

in my opinion keep it and buy a goodwrench 350 andput the tpi on top
and buy some seats from e-bay
carpet is only 150
dont sell it just my 2 cents

 

I got an Iroc 87 350 TPI for $750, it needs head gaskets but I wil rebuilt the engine anyway.

I just bought an '86 in the exact same ( right down to the ac parts) condition, I paid $400 dollars for it, even tho we both knew the car was worth more than that.

You should try asking for around $1100 or $1200, and see what happens.
