what K&N filter for CAI

I am building a cold air intake for my 87 T/A. i want to put a KN cone filter on the end..What is everyone using and what is the model #.thanks

try going to you local parts store and looking in their K&N catalog. In the back there should be some cone filters with the measurements by them. I just used the stock replacement K&N (a cylinder). If you get a piece of PVC elbow (size 3 I think), you can cut the piece off that's meant to slide over another size 3 pipe. It barely squeezes in to the filter. Then I used a piece of thin plastic from a folder to block off the other side of the cylinder. The PVC should fit exactly over the plastic piece already on your air piping. I don't know how else to explain it. good luck.
