Use the same principle as with a stock chip, increase till ping or knock counts and then back off a few degrees.

A scan tool showing knock counts under heavy load is the best/safest way.

i have a stage 2 ed wright chip also and i am setting my timing to the stock 6 degrees. let the chip do its job. the chips are burnt to be used with the stock settings on your car.
