I put in a 700r into my car awhile ago and I'm not sure what year the trans is. I plan on getting a torque converter for it, how do I determine what year my trans is and how many splines it has?

is there anything else i need to know about my trans before i get a TC?

Just above the pan rail on the passenger side of the transmission near the rear will be where you can find the year of the transmission. The first digit is the year. "8" would be 1988, etc.
