You'll have to cut the stock shifter plate, but the one they give you will cover it up. Well worth it, oh and if you get it, helpful hints, use the stock cable and never armorol the boot.

I used the B&M cable- but I agree 100% on "don't armor-all the boot". Mine cracked all to hell... I bought another B&M boot from Summit; I think it was $15 (part #s on bmracing.com ), didn't armor all it, and +3 years later, it still looks like rubber.
My shift plate managed to fit exactly between the top of my window switches, and the bottom of my ashtray button. I used a cutting tip on a soldering gun- man, that stunk. Remember to leave enough material on the edges to hold the screws of the shift plate- and don't overtigten the screws or you'll strip the plastic and be .. uh.. screwed.

When I had the auto in I used the stock console with a little modification. Its been a few years since I did the install but after looking at my auto console out in the garage it looks like I unbolted the shifter boot off the console and put on the mega shifter boot sticking the bolts through the second rib from the bottom of the rubber boot. Now this setup worked flawlessly for me and the best part about it is it looked stock (no hack job), much better than that stupid plate they give you. Sorry guys I have no picks.
