Gears
Gears
I SEEN A SMALL TAG ON THE DIFFERENTIAL WHEN I BOUGHT MY T/A AND I THOUGHT THE GEAR RATIO WOULD BE ON IT BUT INSTEAD IT JUST SAID WHAT KIND OF FLUID TO USE. SO HOW CAN I TELL WHAT GEARS I HAVE .

DON'T YELL. It's not nice. If the gears have not been changed, you can probably check the RPO codes and see. However, the absolute best way is to pull the cover off and count the teeth or look for the stamped numbers on the case and then divide the two numbers. If you have not changed the fluid yet, this is a good reason. You can also jack the rear up and spin both tires forward exactly one turn while someone counts the turns of the driveshaft. The number of turns equals the gear ratio. A little more than 3 turns is 3.08 gears.
Do you have a 9 bolt or 10 bolt rear(count the bolts on the cover)
